Columbia Empire Volleyball Association
(CEVA, our Region) hosts a Power League that consists of teams from our region and small
percentage from outside our region. This league is a series
of 5 tournaments that will begin with a qualifying tournament in January and ending with the
a regional tournament.

information and results on Power League. A little history, Jim Kirby, a
former CEVA Board President, who has coached many successful teams and is currently coaching
the top Portland Volleyball Club's team was
responsible for bringing Power League to our region.

| Club Hosted Tournaments Clubs in our region
or any regions can request to host
a tournament. These tournaments are sanctioned by the Region and are
located within each Region.

Each year, we host several tournaments.
This is a fund raiser for our Club and helps offset some of our expenses and

| Inter-Regional Tournaments These are tournaments that are sanctioned by the
regions of USA Volleyball, designed to attract teams from various regions as well as college
recruiters. The most popular
is the Las Vegas Classic. Then there are number of others such as the
Emerald City Classic in Seattle, WA, Cal Finals in Sacramento, CA, as well as
the Adidas President's Day tourney in Kent area in Washington.

| National Qualifiers and Junior Olympic
Tournament These are tournaments that are sanctioned and
overseen by USA Volleyball, our National Governing Body. They are National
Qualifiers and teams must win or finish in the top few spots in order to receive
their bid to the Junior National Championships. The JNC is held once a
year in various cities in U.S.
Some of the Qualifiers are Colorado Crossroads National Qualifier in Denver, CO; Pacific
Northwest Qualifier in Spokane/Cheney, WA; Far Western Qualifier in Reno,
NV, and Lone Star Qualifier in Austin, TX. Purpose for these tournaments
are exposure to elite level volleyball and exposure to college recruiters.
